About Me
My name is Philip Cassidy and I have been painting for well over thirty years. During that time I have developed some simple but effective techniques for various subjects. The service I offer is very simple, very quick  and very inexpensive.  These days, if you want a portrait painted of your loved ones you could easily spend several thousand pounds on numerous sittings, studies and reviews. To make matters worse it could take months for you to receive the painting. What I offer is cost effective simplicity and a speedy result.

About My Art
If you view the thumbnails in isolation you’ll probably agree with me that they have a photographic quality, and yet when you click on each thumbnail to enlarge the picture that photographic quality disappears. This effect gives the paintings a dynamic feel and when viewed in the flesh the effect is the same. From a distance they appear photographic and yet closer up the appearance changes. In essence you get the best of both worlds.

My Art Philosophy
Painting is not about re-producing a photographic quality image. If that is what you want then just take a photograph. I believe a painting should be a representation of the subject in question.
My portraits use a simple technique that will produce a superb representation of the subject. All you need to do is to provide me  with a photograph which I will then use to create the work. You will need to decide on which medium you prefer and what size you would like. Click on the links above for details.
If you don’t have a photograph then I will arrange to meet with you where I will take a series of photographs. We will then decide which one you prefer and that will form the basis of the study.
If you don’t like the finished painting then you need pay me nothing although I will keep the finished
